Literature Text
Fourteen year-old Phineas Flynn sat at his computer desk in his room, staring at the screen before him with tired, droopy eyes. It was about twelve o’clock at night, but that was rather late for the inventor. He had to stay up, because unlike his friends, he still wasn’t done with his project for English class. It was a report on social media and the internet, and he typically wasn’t on the internet often. That made it a lot more difficult and annoying for him.
He had grown bored about twenty minutes into it and had spent the last hour or two messing with the plug-ins and the wiring on the laptop, and he had replaced the original hard drive and fiddled with the motherboard, along with doing a considerable amount of nonsense that only he and his brother could understand to the LCD. He didn’t exactly know what he was looking for, but maybe he could gain access to a different kind of internet.
See, Phineas didn’t want his project to be over any of the commonly used social networking sites, or any of the lesser known ones either for that matter. He already knew there was going to be so many other kids doing their project over LifesuckSOimOnline, Annoymaties, or even NerdlyBanter. Those were the most popular sites as of the day.
He wanted to find a new site, and possibly even a new internet with completely new kinds of communal sites. So without further ado, he activated his applied program, and the screen flashed on along with some interesting humming noises arising from within the device.
He smiled, seeing that he had done everything right and so far it was working considerably well. The last time he had tried this, (Yeah, this wasn’t the first time) the laptop started to yodel when he’d turned it on. Yes, it literally yodeled. Both he and Ferb had pondered on how exactly that had come to happen, and they still had not found out to this day. Trying to discover internets from other worlds wasn’t one of those subjects that you can just pick up and know how to do naturally.
But this time, the computer did not yodel, thank the Lord, because the yodeling last time had gone on for about three hours into the night on a school night. He was so glad he didn’t have to explain to everyone that the reason why he was so tired was because his yodeling computer kept him up. Again.
So when the light from the screen came on and the desktop appeared, Phineas let out two whimsical laughs, and leaned back in his seat in accomplishment.
Accept his desktop looked completely different. Some of the tools and icons he had were missing, and there was a new- albeit less exciting- icon with a blue E and a gold ring wrapped around it.
“This looks like it could be something.” Phineas said enthusiastically as he double-clicked the E.
His cursor turned into a little loopy circle that spun around. And then after about five seconds of waiting, another white screen popped up. A whole bunch of buttons and gadgets appeared at the top. They all looked somewhat similar to the buttons that appeared in the internet on his planet.
Phineas furrowed his brow as images started to come up and words- strangely in the English language- began to appear.
“Yahoo? What? Is this a search engine?”
That’s when Ferb came into the room.
He plopped down onto the bed and got rid of his shoes, and gave Perry the platypus a firm pat on the head.
“Hey Ferb. Where’ve you been?”
“Teaching Candace how to speak Japanese.”
Phineas looked over his shoulder at Ferb. “Why does she want to know how to speak Japanese?”
Ferb shrugged. “She mentioned something about Stacy’s cousins coming to town.” The green haired boy flopped back onto the bed, and started to stare at the ceiling.
“Doesn’t she know that they speak fluent English?” Phineas turned back to the computer and clicked in Yahoo’s search bar.
“You know Candace, she likes to impress people.”
Phineas nodded his head in agreement. “True.”
Phineas wiggled his fingers up above the keyboard as he tried to think of something to search for. A whole new world, with whole new scenery, whole new species, whole new talents, whole new… websites, and he couldn’t think of one thing that was worthy of being slapped into a search bar.
“What are you doing?” Ferb murmured, sounding very tired after a long day. Candace probably set his last nerve aflame. Because with Ferb, one did not simply get on his last nerve, they caught it on fire. It was more awesome that way, he thought.
“Hacking into another planet’s internet systems.” Phineas said as-a-matter-of-factly.
“Again?” Ferb groaned.
“Yeah, but it worked this time! No yodeling tonight, I promise.”
“Good.”
“You were just about ready to bash my head in last time. So I was extra careful.” Phineas typed in the first thing that came to his mind.
”Ferb is so mean to me” and he pressed enter.
Hopefully computer keyboard commands were universal.
“I am not mean to you.” His brother’s voice was a lot closer now. Phineas whipped his head around and saw that Ferb was looking over his shoulder. He giggled.
Ironically, the first thing that popped up was “Quotes! Phineas and Ferb! Forum FanFiction”
“It actually came up with us?” Phineas said, face full of confusion. “That’s kind of creepy stalker-y”
“It’s Irving from another planet.” Ferb joked.
Phineas cringed.
“But seriously, what planet is this internet from?”
Phineas shrugged. “It’s not like I could pick. The coding is too intricate to put in even a small piece of data without it crashing.”
The ginger began to scroll down the page. “Hey here’s a list of everything you’ve said in your life.”
Ferb frowned. “From FanPop dot com.”
“This is weird.” Phineas commented. He scrolled all the way down the page and read each thing, and then went back up to the top.
“Can I type in something?” Ferb asked as he reached around Phineas.
Phineas let him take control of the keyboard.
Ferb smirked as he typed it in.
“Phineas … is… oblivious?” The boy retracted and looked at Ferb. “I’m not oblivious.” Phineas thought for a moment. “You know I’d think you would go with something more accusing than that. That’s not the worst you could’ve done.”
“Phineas, you said I was mean. Mean.”
Phineas rolled his eyes. “Alright what do the results say?”
“We got five pages of them.”
Phineas sat up straight and looked firmly at the screen. “What?”
Ferb read the first one, trying desperately to hide a fit of laughter. “Phineas, most likely because he is a child, can be oblivious at times.” He paused and snickered. “From the Phineas Flynn page on the Disney Wiki.”
“What is Disney? Who are they and why are they accusing me of these things?”
He skipped one page and read the next one. “Phineas Flynn has seemed to show only oblivion towards Isabella’s feelings…”
Ferb could see-literally see- his brother’s eyes grow about two millimeters in circumference. The Brit froze any movement and skimmed over the page. Had he just accidentally helped his brother learn about Isabella liking him? Isabella had specifically told him not to tell Phineas. She wanted him to figure it out on his own. Well, technically he read the text himself so… hopefully he was in the clear.
“Phinbella? What does that mean?”
And, his hope was gone.
“Ferb… Why does it keep saying Isabella has… certain feelings for me?”
The tall boy scratched at his head and shifted his weight from one foot to the other as he leaned on the back of the chair. “I don’t know.” Frankly, he couldn’t think of a better reply.
“What kind of feelings?” Phineas asked a different, yet perhaps even harder question to answer.
“Maybe you should ask Isabella.” Ferb bit his lip in triumph.
Phineas could feel something in his chest bubble up. It felt light and fuzzy, and made him feel like he was filled with only air, like a helium balloon. But luckily he didn’t start floating.
Ferb touched Phineas’ phone with one finger, and slid the object across the table until it was right in front of the redhead. “Trust me, I think you’ll like her answer.” With that, Ferb began to speed walk out of the room.
“Wait, you know about it!?” Phineas shouted.
But Ferb was already gone, and he didn’t feel like chasing after him.
He looked down at the phone. It looked unearthly to him right now.
He picked it up and dialed the number belonging to the curious girl from across the way…

Me vuelvo a mover quedandome recta. Escucho a distancia unos pasos que vienen hacia mi con gran velocidad, los ignoro poniendome su almohada en la cabeza, quiza aun este medio soñando. Los pasos se escuchan más cerca y en una milésima de segundo siento

Having already finished the Danville Standardized Achievement Exam and checked his answers twice, Phineas sighed, looked at the clock and then towards the girl sitting beside him. Yet another way that Phinbella could happen.
Does anyone else think of all of the Phinbella fics as different interpretations on how they could fall in love/ find out? I do.
But anyway, yeah... remember that time when I said I was going to write about Phineas finding deviantart? Well, this is kind of what I got out of it. he didn't exactly find DA, but he found our internet and did what I bet a lot of us would do- he searched for himself. Well, Ferb searched for him. Whatever.
The title sounds derpy but it's actually grammatically correct.
I guess I chose Yahoo because it would be my homepage when I first got on Internet Explorer. I mean, what would the homepage be for them other than that?
I literally was typing in these things into the search bar. "Ferb is mean to me" and "Phineas is Oblivious". If you want you can go look for the things they read.
