:iconimhappyplz: okay so I really like this~ eheheheeeee so here's a short little story behind it...

Isabella's sixteenth birthday party was finally over after a long day of plenty events planned and made possible by none other than Phineas Flynn, whom had set up almost every single one of her parties in the past. The only bits of decorations remaining were the beautiful party lights arranged in the tree and the pink ribbons on the gate. Isabella and Phineas were both alone in the backyard, talking about the events that had happened that day and all the people that had done things worth making conversation about. But as the boy went on and on about his green-haired brother's big win in the hot dog eating contest, Isabella couldn't help but feel down about not achieving her only goal of that day: to kiss Phineas.
she unraveled the large pink bows draped over the gate with obvious sorrow in her heart.
"I still can't believe he downed forty-seven hot dogs, Izzy. I didn't think he had the stomach for it." Phineas said as he walked over to help her.
"Yeah..." She exclaimed, trying to sound enthusiastic about it.
The sound of his footsteps stopped on her right side. She saw his hands commence on the opposite bow.
"What was your favorite part out of the whole day?" The boy wondered aloud.
Isabella glanced up at him and then back to the job she was doing. "Um... probably when Milly and Ginger tackled Buford to the ground in the flag football game."
Phineas' giggles erupted shortly but continuously. "Yeah, that was gold. I should have gotten a picture."
He finally got the bow off of the gate just as Isabella was ready to hand hers to him so he could put it up. Her expression was gloomy and shrouded in shade as she held up the soft strip of fabric. But unlike she had thought, Phineas had noticed her upside-down smile. He stopped her by furrowing his brow and blinking a couple of times in confusion. "You don't look very happy, Isabella."
The girl's mouth hung open just a millimeter as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Wha-What do you mean? I'm happy. I'm totally happy." She forced a smile, but it was almost as obvious as the sun going down- obvious enough for Phineas to catch on.
Phineas took the bow out of her hands and put both of them down on the rim of the gate. "I wasn't born yesterday." He muttered. "Seriously, what's wrong?"
Isabella sighed. "It's really nothing. It doesn't matter... There's more important things to worry about... Like cleaning."
Though she meant to be slightly humorous, Phineas didn't think it was the least bit funny. He looked at her with a serious glare and she suddenly felt helpless.
"No, we can stop cleaning right now." He said calmly. "Please tell me what's wrong. I might be able to fix it!"
Isabella shook her head slowly, her eyes locked on his.
"I'm your best friend, Izzy. You can tell me anything, you know that. I just don't want you to be sad... ever... especially if it's your birthday." He gave her a smile.
"But that's just it. You're my best friend." She said, her voice melancholy against the sea of crickets in the background. She decided that she didn't regret uttering a syllable of that. Yes- she was finally sixteen, and she was sick and tired of being so shy around him.
Phineas was trying really hard to understand what she meant by that, and she could see it in his eyes, plain as day- the gears turning and clicking and the occasional "ding" sounding in his thinking cap.
"Have you ever thought for even just a single moment..." She paused and collected her thoughts. "What would it be like if we were more than best friends?"
The words that spilled out of her mouth stained his cheeks strawberry pink. The right corner of his mouth tilted upwards and he looked down at the ground in shame. "Well... I've thought about what it would be like to kiss you... if that counts for anything."
Isabella's eyes grew twice their normal size and her heart started to pound against her chest.
When the sound of the crickets became a little bit too loud for him to bare, Phineas spoke again: "Well that's one way to make a conversation awkward." He reached up and scratched his ear nervously.
But Isabella only shook her head no. "But Phineas," She began, re-capturing his attention. She saw the blush on his face that was growing by the second. "Do you want to kiss me?"
Phineas' mouth was agape at the question and he stood there, not knowing how to answer. For once in his life, he had no answer to a question. He couldn't even say 'I don't know' to this one. So as a result he was motionless, staring directly into her eyes with nothing to tell her in response to probably the most important question she had ever asked him before.
Isabella smiled sheepishly at his response. She took a step toward him, erasing the space between their bodies. "I hope that means yes."
Phineas felt her hand on her back of his neck and he stiffened up a bit. He couldn't believe what was happening. Isabella, the girl he had known for forever and a day, who had been best friends with him all his life, who had just lived right across the street from him, and who he cared for so much... so much he couldn't even comprehend... was about to kiss him? She meant so much to him. He still didn't quite believe it. But he wrapped his fingers around her shoulders anyway.
The girl tilted her head up and saw his bashful smile. She felt the butterflies in her stomach begin to fly about.
Her thumb rubbed the back of his ear as she closed her eyes, and Phineas' heart was beating so hard she could feel it.
As their lips finally came together in the middle, Phineas' eyebrows bent down in concentration. It was the strangest, most amazing feeling he had ever gotten. And by far, this was the best birthday party he had ever thrown for her.
Isabella felt all of the agony and stress of waiting fly off her shoulders and she embraced the moment.
It was the most precious thing she had ever experienced.
